Johnny Murtagh makes a speedy return to action at Lingfield Park this afternoon after giving up his three rides at Windsor last night.

Murtagh decided not to travel to the Berkshire track after being shaken in a fall at Leicester yesterday afternoon.

He was dumped from John Terry shortly after the line when partnering the newcomer to victory in the Pytchley Maiden Stakes.

However, he fulfilled his other bookings at Leicester and managed to complete a double on Chocolate Caramel in the Gala Casinos Win A Racehorse Promotion Handicap.

“He’s OK today,” said Murtagh’s agent Dave Pollington.

Murtagh has two rides at the Surrey track – Choreographic for Richard Fahey in the Furlongs and Fairways At Lingfield Park Handicap and James Fanshawe’s Miss Brush in division two of the Lingfield Leisure Club Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
