Willie Ryan is to retire at the end of the turf season. He is currently number one jockey to Henry Cecil.

Willie Ryan is to retire at the end of the turf season.

The rider – currently number one jockey to Henry Cecil – partnered Benny The Dip to Epsom glory for John Gosden in 1997 as the pair just got the better of a thrilling duel with Silver Patriarch.
