Sulamani set for York
Sulamani will once again drop back to 10-furlongs when lining up for the Juddmonte International at York on August 17.
The five-year-old last ran over the distance on his seasonal reappearance in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot and was last seen when a staying on third in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes.
“Sulamani runs in the International providing the ground isn’t too firm,” Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford told the Racing Post.
“After that race we will review where we are with him. He did well in America last Autumn winning the Arlington Million and Turf Classic Invitational.”
Crisford also had news of some of the stable’s other stars, and added: “Papineau could well go to Germany for the Grosser Preis Von Baden at Baden-Baden in September.
“Refuse To Bend is absolutely fine after his run in the Sussex at Goodwood (when finishing last) and will be aimed at the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.”
