Arakan to miss rest of season

Michael Stoute’s Arakan is likely to miss the rest of the Flat season due to injury.

The four-year-old ran out a cosy winner of the Bango Criterion Stakes last month and will now be trained with a view to tackling the Hong Kong Mile in December.

“He has suffered an injury and is probably out for the rest of the season,” said Stoute.

“If we get an invitation for Hong Kong we might go for that, but it is doubtful he would run before that.”
