Jeremy Noseda’s Balmont is set to make his seasonal reappearance in the Darley July Cup at Newmarket on Thursday week.

The Stravinsky colt won four of his six races last term including York’s Gimcrack Stakes and the Group One Middle Park Stakes, which he was awarded following the disqualification of Three Valleys.

“At this point, he seems on schedule for the July Cup where he will start his campaign,” Noseda told his website, www.jeremynoseda.com.

“We were very pleased with his work on Saturday morning. Dave Goodwin rode him over six furlongs on the Trial Ground.”

The three-year-old made the frame in all but one his starts as a juvenile, when stepped up to seven furlongs in the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on his final outing as a two-year-old.
