Dettori to wait on Oaks decision
Godolphin confirmed today that Frankie Dettori will leave it until the last possible moment before committing himself to one of the Dubai outfit’s two fillies in the Vodafone Oaks.
He has yet to choose between the two market leaders for the Epsom Classic, UltimateBet.com 1000 Guineas runner-up Sundrop and easy Tattersalls Musidora Stakes winner Punctilious.
Final declarations for Friday’s race will be made on Wednesday, and there are currently 10 possible starters.
After Dettori won on Skywards in the Godolphin colours at Newmarket today, racing manager Simon Crisford said: “We won’t know which one Frankie is going to ride until Wednesday morning at approximately 9.59am.”
