French test for Hi Dubai

Godolphin send Vodafone Oaks favourite Hi Dubai over to France on Sunday for the Group One Prix Saint-Alary.

Hi Dubai, a full-sister to Fantastic Light, put down her Epsom marker by winning the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket on Guineas weekend.

Frankie Dettori’s mount faces eight rivals in this traditional French Oaks prep, among them James Given’s Summitville and Sir Mark Prescott’s Humouresque, who is bidding for a four-timer.

Luca Cumani runs Falbrav in the Group One Prix d’Ispahan on the same card.

The five-year-old acquitted himself well on his comeback, running third in the Prix Ganay on unsuitably soft ground on his first run since joining Cumani.

Dandoun, who upset Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes-bound Domedriver in the Prix du Muguet at Saint-Cloud on May 1, attempts to step up a grade.

Godolphin are represented by their Dubai Duty Free disappointment Imtiyaz, with Amanda Perrett’s Carnival Dancer completing the overseas raiding party.
