Miguel wins Maghull Novices Chase
Le Roi Miguel absolutely bolted up after a magnificent round of jumping in the Grade One Martell Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree.
The mount of Ruby Walsh, who was completing a double, had the race in safekeeping as he went clear of his rivals from the second-last fence to win as he pleased from Paul Nicholls' stablemate Vol Solitaire by 11 lengths.
Favourite Impek was weak in the betting beforehand and was easily outpaced in third while Tysou and Rathgarr Beau took heavy falls at the first and at the same fence second time around respectively.
