The colt finished a good second over course and distance 25 days ago when beaten a neck by Sphinx.
With Eddery’s powerful assistance tomorrow Classic Role can go one better.
Jonjo O’Neill’s horses have suffered mixed fortunes lately with the Jackdaws Castle trainer picking up fines over the running and riding of two of his charges on Saturday while Rhinestone Cowboy and Iris’s Gift provided him with victories at Cheltenham last weekend.
