Jockey Mick Fitzgerald is recovering today after escaping serious injury in a horror fall at Newbury.

The Irishman was taken to Basingstoke Hospital following his tumble from Mighty Strong in the Lane Fox Chase (Showcase Handicap) but was allowed home later.
