Redcar a doubt for Tuesday

Officials at Redcar are to hold an inspection of the course at 2pm today as wet weather threatens their meeting on Tuesday.

Clerk of the course John Gundill said: “We are currently heavy with standing water in places.

“We have had rain on and off throughout the night and we will have to wait and see how much more we get.

“But we have to give it a chance although it’s not looking good at the moment.”
