Wendyll Woods gained his first success since his return from a successful stint in Hong Kong when the Sir Mark Prescott-trained Froglet won theCrowther Homes Maiden Handicap at Carlisle.

Woods, 38, signed off his stay in the former colony in style when getting the David Hayes-trained Caracoler home in front in the Queen Mother Memorial Cup, the last day of the season out theren early three weeks ago.

Now based again in Newmarket and able to ride at 8st 4lb, he returned to action on the domestic front at Redcar on Saturday.
