Sweet-jumping Tillys Delight highlight of John O’Connor double at Boulta

There were some impressive performances at yesterday’s well-attended West Waterford Foxhounds point-to-point meeting at Boulta and the star of the show was undoubtedly John O’Connor from Kanturk who partnered a double.

The feat of 19-year-old O’Connor, who rides out with Eugene O’Sullivan, becomes all the more meritorious when one considers that he only recorded his initial career success aboard Matthew Daly’s Hit The Upright at the Corbeagh House fixture in Co Longford just seven days earlier.

The north Corkonian opened his account aboard Tillys Delight (8/1) in the first division of the opening four-year-old mares’ maiden.
