Aidan O’Brien, who made history by becoming the first trainer to win the Derby three years in a row last summer, has been honoured by the Turf Club for his record-breaking achievement.

Champion trainer O’Brien was recognised at the annual Moyglare dinner, which took place at the K Club on Saturday night and also acknowledged the team behind Ireland’s inaugural Champions Weekend in September.

Australia’s easy triumph in the Epsom Classic followed Ruler Of The World (2013) and Camelot (2012) and he was O’Brien’s fifth winner of the race.
