Dubawi Phantom withdrawn following intervention by stewards

The Paul Gilligan-trained Dubawi Phantom was withdrawn from the €40,000 Tote Jackpot Guarantee Handicap Hurdle at Galway yesterday, following the intervention of the stewards.

The Stewards met to consider a report from Chris Gordan, Turf Club senior security officer, in relation to the participation at an unrecognised racemeeting of Dubawi Phantom.

Gordan stated that he was in attendance at Dingle Horse & Pony racemeeting on August 10, 2013, observing the animal ‘Ayre’s Rock’ as a participant, when ridden by Liam Gilligan.
