Bolger mulls Bun run

Jim Bolger is mulling a crack at the Darley Irish Oaks with Monday’s Lenebane Stakes winner Bunairgead.

The daughter of New Approach, who is owned by Bolger’s wife Jackie, had just a Leopardstown maiden win to her credit before landing the 12-furlong Listed event at Roscommon.

While she had only one victory on the scoresheet, Bunairgead had also been placed in Group Three company and finished down the field in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh in May.
