Stick with Teocht
Unraced as a two-year-old, she made a bright start over a mile and five furlongs at Navan in May when half a length and the same third behind Plinth and Mourani.
The selection then took a dramatic drop in trip, to a mile, back at Navan and was predictably out-speeded in the closing stages when sixth to Rocktique.
Her latest outing came over ten furlongs at the Curragh 13 days ago and this was a far better effort, as she claimed a creditable fourth spot behind Aidan O’Brien’s The Vatican.
The daughter of Teofilo was noted staying on steadily in the closing stages and should go close now, with another two furlongs to travel.
John Oxx’s once-raced Al Destoor looks the best proposition in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Maiden.
It was disconcerting that he was fitted with a hood on his debut at the Curragh and was light in the market to boot.
But he displayed no lack of resolution, running on strongly in the straight to finish a length and three parts second in the previously mentioned contest won by The Vatican. He had one of his main rivals now, Saxo Jack, four lengths behind in fifth and there seems no good reason why the placings should be reversed.
