O’Regan set for speedy return to action

Denis O’Regan is set to return to action at Leicester today following his spill at Towcester on Sunday.

The Irish jockey was stood down for the rest of the day after being unseated from the favourite Cayman Islands when badly hampered by the fall of Rain Mac at the third flight in the opening novices’ hurdle.

He was said to be “sore”, but plans to get back in the saddle on Be My Deputy in the Racing To School Novices’ Handicap Chase at the East Midlands venue.
