Primroseandblue worth following

The progressive Primroseandblue gets the nap in the Wellingtonbridge Novice Hurdle at Wexford tonight.

Willie Mullins’ charge got off the mark over flights at Clonmel in March, beating the subsequent dual winner Saint Gervais by a neck.

He followed that with another decent effort at Ballinrobe last month when a length second to the well-backed Run With The Wind.

The selection was conceding the useful Run With The Wind 7lbs and the form was boosted when fourth placed Mickelson went on to score next time.

Mullins may also have the answer to the Vinegar Hill Maiden Hurdle with the frustrating Are Ya Right Chief.

He has been costly to follow and again disappointed when failing to justify cramped odds behind Seriatim and Whispering Hills at Punchestown on his latest appearance.

But Are Ya Right Chief might just be worth a final chance, on the basis that this is a weak contest and Whispering Hills did go on to win easily at Tipperary.

Prunella Dobbs’ Ourbeautifuldream gets the nod in the Mares’ Bumper. She was beaten a neck into second in a driving finish by Mullins’ Chilterns Hills on this track last month and that was a smart effort, in the context of the opposition now.

If the market speaks in favour of Edward O’Grady’s Tobar Na Gaoise then he can land the Ladies Free On Littlewoods Ladies Day July 28th Maiden Hurdle.

A smart enough sort on the flat for Jim Bolger, he has yet to reveal his true colours over jumps, getting bogged down in the testing conditions at Tipperary in April when fourth to Mobile Sizer.
