Townend back in action after injury
Townend, who admirably replaced Ruby Walsh on a number of Willie Mullins’ stable-stars throughout the season, will be in action at Ballinrobe, where he has three rides.
The jockey fractured his collarbone at Navan on March 26 and is five winners ahead of Davy Russell as he attempts to claim his first title.
“I saw my specialist Tadgh O’Sullivan today and everything is A1 and hopefully I’ll have a bit of luck tomorrow. The collarbone seems perfect,” said Townend.
