Tyner planning Power raid

ROBERT Tyner plans to be double-handed with Callherwhatulike and The Halfway Bar in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown on December 27.

ROBERT Tyner plans to be double-handed with Callherwhatulike and The Halfway Bar in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown on December 27.

The pair contested the Glen Chase at Thurles last month with The Halfway Bar finishing a staying-on third to Florida Express and Callherwhatulike back in fifth place.

“I’ve left them both in the Paddy Power and I would like to run both of them,” said the Co. Cork trainer.

“I was happy enough with the race at Thurles in the circumstances. It was Callherwhatulike’s first run of the season and I thought that I had left her a bit short and The Halfway Bar went fine.

“Callherwhatulike ran well at Leopardstown last year in a Grade One race and I was delighted.

“As for The Halfway Bar, I suppose that it will just depend how the race is run and what sort of gallop they go.”

Callherwhatulike is a 12-1 chance with the sponsors while The Halfway Bar is 16-1 following the latest forfeit stage.

Chelsea Harbour, trained by Tom Mullins, stands his ground after being given a 5lb penalty for his victory at Navan on Saturday.

Paul Nicholls has taken out Officier De Reserve and left in Osako D’Airy while Jonjo O’Neill could rely on Nor’Nor’East after withdrawing Alright Now M’Lad.

Paddy Power Chase, sponsors bet: 10-1 Operation Houdini, 12-1 Callherwhatulike, Patsy Hall, Polmar, Hoopy, 14-1 Chelsea Harbour, Hairy Molly, Sky’s The Limit, Emma Jane, Parsons Pistol, 16-1 The Halfway Bar, Osako D’Airy, Nor’Nor’East, Well Run, Baily Breeze, Ambobo, 20-1 bar.
