Rely on Ryehill

RYEHILL Dreamer, who ran with a lot of promise on his debut at Leopardstown, can land the nap in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Maiden at Gowran Park tomorrow.

Rely on Ryehill

The son of Catch The Rye was beaten half a length into second by Kevin Prendergast’s well-regarded Vilasol, but that doesn’t tell the full story.

He found it hard to get a clear run in the straight and, by the time Wayne Lordan had extricated him, the bird had flown.

There are some interesting newcomers against the selection now, but they will have to be smart, hopefully, to match strides with Tommy Stack’s charge.

Aidan O’Brien’s Hebridean gets the vote to take the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Classic Trial. Trained last season by O’Brien’s father-in-law, Joe Crowley, he seems to have made significant improvement from two to three.

That’s certainly the conclusion to be drawn from his latest effort, when beaten a length by Moiquen in the Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown.

Unwritten Rule was a further length away in third and has to reoppose on 3lbs worse terms.

South African jockey Keagan Latham and the Ger Lyons’ trained Tobar Na Hinfe look the part in the Thomastown Maiden.

Tobar Na Hinfe hinted at ability first time out at Limerick and stepped well up on that subsequently when beaten a head by the useful Charlotte Bronte at Naas.

Kevin Prendergast’s House Rebel can provide the answer to the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Maiden for fillies.

She buckled down well when beaten three parts of a length by Manhattan Beach at Limerick and another furlong now should help.

At Kilbeggan tonight, Clear Riposte can make a winning start over fences in the Irish Stallion Farms’ Beginners Chase.

She comes here on the back of two fine efforts over flights, finishing second to Ballyagran at Fairyhouse and Bambootcha at Punchestown.

Ruby Walsh looks very much the pilot to follow, on his return from suspension, at Sligo tomorrow.

Young Milly, a creditable fourth behind I Hear A Symphony at Punchestown, rates a safe wager for the champion jockey in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Hurdle.

He has a number of othe possibilities as well, particularly easy Tramore winner, The Corby Glenn, in the Harry’s Bar Handicap Hurdle and Itsmylife, seventh to I Hear A Symphony at Punchestown, in the second section of the Smirnoff Mares Maiden Hurdle.
