Psycho bids for compensation

TONY Martin’s Psycho reappears today in the Ladbrokes.com Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse after a recent near-miss at the Cheltenham Festival.

He was sent off favourite for the County Hurdle at Prestbury Park, but despite making eye-catching progress through the final half-mile, he failed to catch Silver Jaro.

The seven-year-old was three-quarters of a length down at the line and jockey Paul Carberry came in for plenty of stick in some quarters — although Martin is not in that camp.
