King sights set on Kempton
The Arkle and Ladbrokes World Hurdle winner raced with plenty of zest in the Betfair Chase and bowled along in company with Kauto Star for much of the race. But Alan King’s charge faded once the taps were turned on and came home a tired fifth – some 42 lengths behind the Gold Cup winner.
King said: “He is fine but the trainer is not too pleased with himself.
