Christy Roche’s Ah Ya Boy Ya could provide the solution to the Bumper. He made a solid enough debut when second to Roughing It at Killarney and may have been beaten by a smart newcomer subsequently in the shape of Charlie Swan’s Forty Foot at Roscommon.

Chevalier Country, touched off by a short head by Indiana Gal (rec. 4lbs) at Gowran Park, gets the nod in the valuable Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Premier Nursery.
