Moments worth another chance

THE rather frustrating Stealing Moments is worth another chance in the Sand and Gravel Products Maiden Hurdle at Cork tonight.

Paul Nolan currently has his charges in terrific shape and six-year-old may be well suited to stepping up to three miles for the first time.

A strong order in the market at Gowran Park last month, the selection certainly appeared one-paced in the closing stages. He jumped and travelled well throughout, but could not raise his tempo at the end of two and a quarter miles and was beaten a length and a half and a neck into third spot behind Bisley and Spes Ultima

There is no doubt the form is ordinary, but Stealing Moments may be seen in a better light, now he is given a proper test of stamina.

Paul Cashmans's ex-pointer All Noble can take the Bumper. It was mildly surprising more use wasn't made of him when a close third to Trade War at Bellewstown last week, but it was still a solid effort, in the context of this opposition.

Barrack Buster has a minimum of 14lbs in hand of her rivals in the Excellent Choice Hurdle and will deliver if producing anything near her best.

She lost her way for most of last year, however, although Martin Brassil's mare did perform with plenty pf promise on the level at Wexford a week ago.

Athlumney Lad, still going nicely when departing three from home in the race won by Red Square Lady at Navan, could emerge as a big danger! Thiazi, who didn't exactly set the world alight when fifth to Addicted on his debut at the Curragh, is the choice in a poor looking Coolmore Orpen Maiden.

Tango Foxtrot, who bolted in at Wexford, may be capable of shrugging off a 12lbs rise in the weights in the Live Music After Racing Handicap at Fairyhouse this evening.
