Modeeroch can make the most of ideal opportunity
Jim Bolger's high-class daughter of Mozart made a promising reappearance at Leopardstown earlier in the month when three parts of a length second behind Queen Cleopatra, who subsequently boosted the form when third in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh.
That race was over a mile and dropping down to six furlongs now is obviously a minor concern. But Bolger clearly believes Modeeroch has the pace to cope and this is not the toughest group race ever run.
The selection won her maiden over this trip at Naas and was also a creditable fourth in the Group One Cheveley Park Stakes behind behind Donna Blini at Newmarket.
The Irish Stallion Farms' EBF Maiden is best left to Kevin Prendergast's once-raced El Soprano.
She finished with a real flourish on this track a week ago when half a length runner-up behind market-leader, Howya Now Kid.
The moderate looking Kingston Maiden can go to another with just one outing under his belt, John Oxx's Nasafar.
The son of Cape Cross took a long time to get the hang of what was required when fifth behind Medico, in what has turned out to be a very ordinary event, here earlier in the month.
The Clonskeagh Maiden houses a big field, but a solid case can be made for very few. The vote falls on Willie Mullins' Euro Leader, absent since scoring over fences at Punchestown in April.
He is unlikely to be fully wound up - the Galway Plate is the target - but Euro Leader can still prove too good for this lot.
