Six Perfections set to run at Curragh
The Pascal Bary-trained filly endured a rough passage from her draw in stall one at Newmarket and was forced to switch to the wide outside after running into the back of another horse.
As soon as she found racing room she showed an impressive turn of foot to take second place, but it was too late to catch Russian Rhythm, who had got first run on the French challenger, and she was beaten a length and a half.
Six Perfections returned to Chantilly none the worse for her experience on the Rowley Mile.
“She will go to Ireland next week,” Bary said. “She came back very sound from Newmarket. No problems with her.”
In the aftermath of the Newmarket Classic her jockey Thierry Thulliez was the subject of a great deal of criticism in the press on both sides of the Channel.
When asked if Thulliez would be on board again in Ireland, Bary said: “I cannot confirm that.”
