Speaking at Thurles yesterday his trainer, Michael Hourigan, said: “I have read that he is 75% certain to run at Leopardstown, but I have never made any such comment.
“I am going to delay making a decision until much later in the week.
“I have been down this road before and will not rush the horse.”
Beef Or Salmon has been on the easy-list, mucus having been found in his throat, since finishing a disappointing third to Best Mate in the Ericsson at Leopardstown at Christmas.
“He worked well on the all-weather on Saturday and I was pleased with him”, said Hourigan.
“He will work on grass later this week, probably on Wednesday, and we will know more after that.”
