Fitter Killultagh Storm to prevail

WILLIE MULLINS’ Killultagh Storm has a lot going for him in the featured National Lottery Agent Champion ’Chase at Gowran Park today.

Fitter Killultagh Storm to prevail

He clearly holds Go Roger Go on recent running at Listowel and has a big fitness advantage over his other three more than useful rivals.

Following a creditable effort in the Kerry National behind Native Performance, Killultagh Storm turned out again two days later.

He made every yard of the running to slam Go Roger Go (rec. 11lbs) by eight lengths and it is hard to see those placings being reversed.

The one worry about the selection is that he frequently performs well, but hardly ever wins. However, he appeared particularly suited by forcing tactics last time and a similar display now will see him go close.

Joe Crowley’s Corrib Boy gets the nap to land the Kilford Arms three-year-old Hurdle.

Beaten by Bermaho at Roscommon and Imazulutoo at Tipperary, Corrib Boy has the best of the weights on this occasion.

Biggest worry may well be his stable companion, Blue Corrig. He was a very decent sort on the level, keeping high-class company with plenty of succcess, but Corrib Boy’s experience swings one towards him.

Crowley’s daughter, Frances, is fancied to provide the answer to the Newpark Hotel Maiden Hurdle with the lightly-raced Harry’s Judgement.

The six-year-old made no mistake at the second time of asking, taking a Tipperary bumper, and should be well suited by this two and a half miles.

The Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Maiden is best left to Aidan O’Brien’s newcomer Meath, a son of Sadler’s Wells.
