Relieved Fallon wants his title back

KIEREN FALLON sounded a warning to Frankie Dettori yesterday as he spoke for the first time of his relief at the decision of the Jockey Club not to pursue disrepute charges.

Relieved Fallon wants his title back

The Jockey Club announced on Tuesday it would not be holding an inquiry into allegations made by the News Of The World against Fallon and fellow rider John Egan.

And the six-times former champion said: “I’ve always maintained my innocence but the pressure on me during the past few months has been colossal.

“I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my solicitor Christopher Stewart-Moore. I don’t know how I would have got through the recent events without his help.”

Fallon said he is now looking forward to the festive season with his family, although he expects to be in action on the all-weather as he currently has 198 winners to his credit this season.

Fallon lost his title to Frankie Dettori this year in an exciting battle.

But that defeat only seems to have sharpened his winning instincts and he is planning a working holiday in America before returning to reclaim his crown.

“After Christmas I will be going off to Florida to spend some time trying to improve my riding,” he explained.

“But I can’t wait for the new season to start when I want my jockeys’ championship back from Frankie. Things went wrong last season but I will win it back in 2005.”
