Fallon happy to be spoiled for choice
"I don't miss riding every day at all, I ride here every day', said a relaxed Fallon. "I like being here and am enjoying getting to know the horses. It is very exciting to be at Ballydoyle. It is exciting when you come in the gates in the morning, there is a lot of history.
"I think about the great history of Ballydoyle, about Lester (Piggott) and Vincent O'Brien. Aidan has already done everything, I just hope he continues to be successful.
"All the top trainers have their own way of doing things. You could compare Aidan to Michael Stoute, each horse is trained on an individual basis."
Fallon has to make his first major decisions this week, since taking over as top jockey at Ballydoyle. He has a choice of Footstepsinthesand and Oratorio in Saturday's English 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and looks set to pick the former.
"It is very hard to choose', admitted Fallon. "One is lazy (Oratorio), the other (Footstepsinthesand) isn't. Footstepsinthesand is a nice horse and we know will head to Newmarket fit. Oratorio you just don't know how fit he will be. For sure it will be no surprise if Oratorio does the better."
He watched the recent Craven Stakes at Newmarket, won by Jim Bolger's Democrat Deficit, with more than a passing interest.
"The Craven is always a great trial," said Fallon. "You look at the race and think Rob Roy was very unlucky. Then you look at it again and think Jimmy Fortune's horse (Iceman) was also very unlucky. It will be a massive field on Saturday, we'll go with our horses and then take it from there."
Fallon is thrilled O'Brien has decided to take horses to Chester for the first time. "It is a great track and great trials are held there. You can learn a lot at Chester."
Tomorrow, he will work with David Wachman's Damson and seems certain to partner her in Sunday's English 1000 Guineas, in preference to Ballydoyle's Virginia Waters.
He likes Ace a lot. "He ran a massive race in France yesterday. He went all the way to the line and is definitely a Group One horse, on better ground. We know he will improve."
