Blown away by Dunlop’s fireworks

ANYONE else find the comments attributed to trainer Ed Dunlop in the wake of his Ouija Board finishing well beaten in the Dubai Sheema Classic on Saturday rather peculiar?

The background to this is that Ouija Board never threatened to get into the contest, with rider Kieren Fallon blaming fireworks before the race as the reason for her below-par performance.

Fallon was quoted as saying: “It is just crazy to have firecrackers going off when you are about to saddle up for the richest turf race in the world.”
