PROVEN WOODS emerged as the top lot at the first Saturday sales at Curraheen Park over the weekend.

The winner of his trial in 29.17, he was subsequently knocked down to English midlands trainer Sandy Baker for €3,200.

The sale was the first Saturday auction at the venue and the first confined to 100 dogs. In total 89 dogs trialed of which 65 were sold with 24 making over 1,000 euros.
