Justified can justify lofty expectations
Dusty Sheehy's six-year-old was one of the best novice hurdlers in the country last season and promises to do even better at this game.
He won four times in all over flights, rounding off a fine campaign with success in a Grade Two at Fairyhouse in March.
Justified has shown his liking for this track in the past and is well capable of maintaining a swinging end-to-end gallop.
A decent round of jumping can see him safely home in front of Doctor Linton.
The latter was not in the selection's league as a hurdler, but was impressive when making a winning start from Kerryhead Windfarm over fences at Limerick recently.
Noel Meade has declared two for the other Listed race on the programme, the Diffusion Event Management Hurdle, Wild Passion and Rocket Ship.
But Rocket Ship was in action at Cork on Sunday, isn't jocked up, so it seems reasonably safe to assume he won't meet the engagement.
Paul Carberry takes the ride on Wild Passion and this talented five-year-old is hard to oppose.
Like Justified, he was one of the best young hurdlers in the country last season.
He won a Grade One at Fairyhouse, was second behind Arcalis in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham and returned home to land another Grade One at the Punchestown Festival in April.
Meade's charges are in terrific shape and his Corrigeenroe is fancied to get off the mark over jumps at the first time of asking in the Punchestown 2006 Annual Membership Maiden Hurdle.
Corrigeenroe looked a possible star of the future at Leopardstown last Christmas when taking a bumper unextended by nine lengths.
