Ruby will be ready for Galway
Explained his agent and sister, Jennifer: "Ruby twisted his back when winning on Native Stag at Killarney last Thursday. Then he aggravated it on Bassett Tiger at Kilbeggan on Friday night and that wasn't a help. At the moment he is having physio and just giving himself a few days. I have no doubt he will return at the weekend.”
Walsh hasn't ridden since partnering his father Ted's Kid Creole to finish second to Precipitous in a seven furlongs handicap at the Curragh on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Eddie Ahern has announced that he is leaving his post as stable jockey for Jeremy Noseda to become a freelance.
Ahern left Gerard Butler to join Noseda last spring and the pair enjoyed a fruitful partnership, combining with the likes of Wilko and Blue Dakota.
He has missed a number of high-profile rides for the Newmarket trainer this season through suspension, but still hopes to ride for Noseda as well as Butler, for whom he will partner Nayyir in next week’s Cantor Spreadfair Sussex Stakes.
