Cork Harlequins had a St Patrick’s Day to remember with a double in the Munster Senior Cups.
Their women faced Crescent who were making their first appearance in the senior final having only debuted in Munster Division 1 last season.
Quins started the brighter and dominated early possession. Their reward came on the 10-minute mark when Rachel Diggin scored.
Crescent rallied and started to get a foothold in the game. It wasn’t until the third quarter that Quins scored again and this time it was a well-executed short corner from ex-Irish international Cliodhna Sargent.
She doubled her tally for the day from the penalty spot in the final quarter after a goalward shot was stopped by a foot on the line to make it 3-0.
Quins men faced Bandon for the second time in a week with both sides proving to be closely matched throughout the season.
A cagey opening quarter ended 0-0 before the momentum started to switch in Quins direction.

Irish underage star Sam Dale opened the scoring before his oldest brother Julian continued his fantastic season with a goal from the penalty spot before the half-time break.
Quins widened the gap when Julian grabbed his second with a straight shot from the top of the D.
To their credit Bandon didn't give up and mounted a late comeback. Goals from Fionn O’Leary and Harry McCourt made for a frantic final five minutes but Quins held out to seal the double.
Ashton women took home the senior plate competition with a 3-0 win over Waterford.
The sides were evenly matched in the first half as it remained scoreless.
Despite Waterford starting the second half the brighter, it was Ashton that broke the deadlock after a melee in the D was finished by Breana O’Gorman.

With their tails up Ashton quickly added a second through Lia Ryan who rounded the keeper after being put through on goal.
Sadhbh O’Shea sealed the win with a neat finish from the top of the D in the final quarter.
In the other finals, Clonmel did the double winning the Division 3/4 combined cup with a 2-1 win over Limerick and the Division 5/6 combined cup on a shootout over Bandon.
