Marie Russell is Munster Junior champion, following a plucky and stylish win over the legendary Kay Kelly at Béal na Bláth.
Kelly, the first Irish woman to win Queen of the Roads, had been hoping for a fairytale return to bowling having only recently returned from exile in Australia. She got a dream start, but soon found herself on the back foot. Russell, quickly settled after a poor opening shot. She wrested control from Kelly and dominated once she hit the lead after four.
