The Irish distance medley relay team broke the world record in New York last night - but it wasn’t enough to gain a win at the Armory international.

The Irish team of Mark English, Ciaran O’Lionard, Brian Gregan and Declan Murray finished with a time of 9:25.37, beating the previous record of 9:25.97 set in 2008.
