Khan and Roach part company

Amir Khan has said he will immediately appoint a new trainer after confirming his split from Freddie Roach in the early hours of this morning.

There had been rumblings the Bolton boxer and Roach would go their separate ways after the former suffered a stunning fourth-round stoppage loss to Danny Garcia for the WBC and WBA light-welterweight titles in July.
