World number four Andy Murray survived a scare to reach the final of the Thailand Open in Bangkok today.

The top seed looked to be comfortably on course after winning the first set 6-2 against Gilles Simon.

But the Frenchman fought back to win the second set 6-3.

However the Scot broke early in the third set, and went on to win the decider 6-2 to book a place in the final against Donald Young.

Elsewhere ninth seed Agnieszka Radwanska saw off Vera Zvonareva 6-3 6-2 to win the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo today.

The Pole lost the first two game, but then won eight of the next nine to lay the foundations for her victory over the fourth seed.

It was Radwanska’s sixth WTA Tour title.

Meanwhile Serbian player David Savic has been banned from the sport for life with immediate effect and fined $100,000 after being found guilty of three offences under the Uniform Tennis Anti-Corruption Program at an independent anti-corruption hearing in London on September 12
