Maria Sharapova withdrew from the Rogers Cup yesterday after sustaining a shoulder injury in her defeat of Marta Domachowska which threatens her participation in the Olympic Games.

Sharapova will have an MRI scan on the injury today which will determine whether she can compete in Beijing.
