Roger Federer has broken Jimmy Connors’ 30-year-old record for the most consecutive weeks as the world’s top-ranked player.

The Swiss, who won his 10th grand slam title at the Australian Open last month, has now been at number one in the Association of Tennis Professionals’ rankings for 161 weeks.
