Sharapova stunned by Safina

Maria Sharapova slumped to defeat in her last-16 match with fellow Russian Dinara Safina at the French Open today.

Safina, seeded 14, took the first set but the 2004 Wimbledon champion took control by winning the second and then racing to a 5-1 lead in the decider.
