The Greek IOC member alleged to have accidentally helped London win the 2012 Olympics today moved to distance himself from the controversy.

It has been suggested that Lambis Nikolaou voted mistakenly for Paris instead of Madrid in the third round of the ballot in July, leading to the Spanish capital being narrowly eliminated 33 votes to 31 and allowing London to win the final round 54-50 against the French city.
