Defeat for Rusedski

Greg Rusedski failed to progress to the third round of the RCA Championships in Indianapolis after surrendering a one-set lead to Sweden’s Joachim Johansson.

Rusedski, who won the tournament in 2002, beat another Swede – Thomas Johansson – in the previous round but was unable to repeat the feat.

The British left-hander went down 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 6-4 at the hands of number 11 seed Johansson.
