Ivanisevic powers into next round

Wild card Goran Ivanisevic of Croatia has beaten Mikhail Youzhny of Russia in four sets at Wimbledon today.

Ivanisevic won 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-2.

With Croatia's crucial Euro 2004 clash less than two hours away Ivanisevic looked like a man in a hurry as he bombarded his opponent with a barrage of powerful serves in the late evening sunshine.

Ivanisevic, who has won only twice this year in nine tournaments, produced a sublime drop shot and clinched the match 6-3 7-6 6-2 when Youzhny hit a long one-handed backhand.
