British bow for Goran

Goran Ivanisevic could make one of the final appearances of his professional career at the Samsung Open in Nottingham, England next month.

Ivanisevic has committed himself to becoming the first Wimbledon champion to appear at the tournament, which will take place at the City of Nottingham Tennis Centre from June 16-21.

The Croatian has been plagued by injuries since winning the Wimbledon title in 2001 and has hinted he will soon retire.

He said recently “If it is my fate to leave tennis this year, then Wimbledon will be my last tournament.”
