Henman admits 'I must play better'

Tim Henman admits he would have to play better if he is going to win Wimbledon this year after his quarter-final victory over Andre Sa.

Henman knows a sterner test than the 90-ranked Brazilian awaits in the last four but found solace in the way he fought his way out of a few sticky situations.

He will now play world number one Lleyton Hewitt or Sjeng Schalken in Friday's semi-final.

Henman said: "I'm playing better now but in all honesty if I'm going to play Hewitt I'm going to need to play better. It's not going to be an average performance which is going to beat him.

"But today I dug my heels in and the crowd got me going and I began to turn it around. The third set was always going to be crucial and I played pretty solid in the fourth.

"Andre must take a lot of credit for really outplaying me for four or five games in the second set. He played some great tennis.

"Conditions were not great, and I had to keep fighting but that's been the way pretty much through the whole of this tournament."
