All systems go for Cork Week

RACING at Ford Cork Week begins at Crosshaven on Sunday, with the Sigma 38 Fleet starting its overnight race to finish on Monday.

All systems go for Cork Week

The countdown has now reached fever-pitch and all systems are in place and ready to go.

A big change for FCW 2002 is the emergence of the High Performance Class. At Ford Cork Week 2000 three of the four biggest classes were won by superlight IRM designs rather like Formula One Class cars competing against Touring Cars.

Now with the High Performance Class the grand prix racers during the 2002 event will for the first time be grouped together and not mixed among the IRC Class.

The aim at Cork has always been to endeavour to race like-with-like and this formula will now provide even more satisfactorycompetition amongst the classes.
